WARRINGTON & NORTH CHESHIRE BOWLS ASSOCIATION NEW PLAYER PROMOTION The
Association currently levies a charge of £3.70 per player per night and
it is proposed that this continues in 2010 Mindful of the
current economic situation and that bowls as a sport is struggling for
players the following is proposed for 2010 Clubs to be
given £5 allowance for each NEW player registered in 2010. The £3.70 per
night levy not to apply for NEW players in 2010 A NEW player
may be registered at any time during the season A NEW player
is defined as a person who has never been registered for a Monday, Tuesday
or Friday Association team or a recognised equivalent league from another
town / city. He will be eligible for a 3 point start on the card for ANY LEAGUE
game he plays for the team on the NOMINATED night for the 2010 season only OR Has not been
registered for one of our teams or equivalent in another town or city for
at least 5 years (a person registered in 2006 onwards does not qualify).
This category will NOT be eligible for any start on the card whatsoever He
must also play at least 6 matches for one of our teams in 2010 or the
allowance of £8.70 given to the player will be invoiced by the league at
the end of the season A
NEW player is eligible for only ONE allowance in 2010. It is the
responsibilty of the player to nominate the team and night he wishes the
rebate and and handicap if eligible to be applied. The six matches must
also be played on that night
